An Accra-based charity is looking to raise £3,000 (almost Ghc50,000) to support 160 widows and their families this Christmas.
Crystalized Nation Ghana was founded in 2019, to support schools, communities and individuals with resources while helping to maximise their potential and elevate their talents.
This year, the charity has partnered up with Eternal Rock International Ministries – ‘The Praying Widows Organisation’ - to mark their 10th anniversary and assist them in supporting widows and their families.
Donations will contribute to paying for food items including rice, oil, water, porridge, and milk and other resources for the Christmas period.
On 24 December 2022, Eternal Rock Ministries International will have its annual Christmas donation event where all items will be given to the women in Madina, Accra.
“We’re not asking for a lot, any little that touches your heart, we are more than happy to receive,” said Crystal Nyarko, founder of Crystalized Nation Ghana.
After graduating from university in 2019, Crystal established Crystalized Nation Ghana after returning to Ghana in 2018 for her 21st birthday.
“I returned to Ghana after 15 years of being away from the country and I fell in love again with Ghana’s beautiful landscape. However, I was devastated by how poor the infrastructure is and how this has left many of our citizens to suffer as a result.”
“Ghana is rich not only in raw materials but with culture and people. However, due to certain structures and functions of the country, many are disadvantaged and are unable to thrive in their environment or maximise their potential to the fullest.
“This is why Crystalized Nation Ghana is on a mission to help those who are in need - but we can’t do it all by ourselves. We need your help."
