Do you write poetry? Are you Ghanaian or of Ghanaians heritage?
We are launching the Ghanaians in Literature issue and want to know which African writer inspired your craft.
Buchi Emechecta’s books were my drug, growing in England. This British-Nigerian writer encouraged me to see Africa, Africans and myself through a different lens. Within a few years, I’d read all her books.
If you’ve ever put that inspiration in poetry form and want to participate in our competition, send it to us at akadimagazine@gmail.com
The winning piece will be published in the magazine. Deadline 1 August.
